Building Your Dream Home in North Carolina: Superior Homes of NC Brings Your Vision to Life

Are you shopping for land to build a home? What does your ideal property look like? How many acres? Is it in a subdivision or on unrestricted land? When shopping for land, your dream property usually requires some compromise about the exact location, what is actually available for sale, and what you can afford. Depending on how wide of a net you are throwing and how negotiable you are, it can take months to find a piece of land that meets enough of the criteria on your checklist.

Finding the Perfect Land for Your Dream Home

At Superior Homes of NC, we have built our gorgeous, modern, sturdy home shells in a wide variety of settings. From gated communities (verify plans with your architectural design committee first), to sloping hill sides with long range mountain views, from a cozy half acre in a neighborhood, to rolling rural acreage offering multiple home site choices — Superior Homes is flexible.

Flexible Home Shells for Every Setting

Our most recent build is a 28’ x 100’ (2800 sf total) in the rural hills of Maggie Valley, NC. The couple had already purchased the land when they reached out to us. Located in a gated development, their lot was long and narrow and sits on a hillside looking out over the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains. In their 60s, the couple planned to live in this house for the remainder of their lives, therefore, they wanted everything on one level and no second floor or stairs.

A Stunning Hillside Home in Maggie Valley, NC

Collaborating with the clients, our Designer, Grader, and Owner/Contractor, we designed and are currently building a reinforced concrete (Superior Walls) home with lots of glass to take in the views, a two-car garage, two smaller guest bedrooms, and a high timber frame ceiling to generate an elevating sense of space. The master bedroom has been bumped back a few feet to accommodate the lay of the land, as well as to add some interest to the linear design of the home. There’s also a flat rooftop deck over the master bedroom.

Designing Resilient Homes Tailored to Your Needs

Superior Homes of NC works with our clients to design strong, resilient, and handsome home shells that suit their personal needs and tastes. Our home shells have structural integrity and natural beauty, and they can be designed in any number of ways to fit your land and your lifestyle. Once we complete the dried-in shell, the client works with their own General Contractor - or the client can be their own GC - and completes the house themselves.

Site Visits to Ensure a Perfect Fit for Your Superior Home

Depending on location, we can visit the lot you’re considering before you buy, or after, to help determine the best Superior Homes’ design for your site, or we can tell you it isn’t a good fit. If you are looking to build within 60 miles of Asheville, NC, we can typically schedule one site visit to look at your land. More than one site visit will cost $100 per hour plus mileage and expenses. If you are building more than 60 miles away, any site visits will be based on hourly cost, mileage and expenses. We are happy to consider any location, even outside of North Carolina, as long as Superior Walls delivers there. Out-of-state jobs will be priced to include travel expenses. Ready for a quote?
